Titanic The Musical - Ireland's Premiere

Titanic The Musical was premiered in Ireland on 17th May 2005 by the Belfast OperaProgramme cover for Ballinrobe's Irish Premier of Titanic The Musicaltic Company at the Grand Opera House Belfast, Northern Ireland.

On 9th February 2008, the Ballinrobe Musical Society premiered the production in the Republic of Ireland. It was performed over the the period Saturday 9th February to Saturday 16th February 2008 at Ballinrobe Community School. Like the Belfast production, Ballinrobe was a resounding success. The Mayo Society played to a packed audience each night, over 3,000 people watched the production.

The Balllinrobe programme outlined Addergoole's Titanic history, and three actors took on the roles of Katherine McGowan, Delia McDermott and Mary Mangan from Addergoole.

The costumes and sets were fantastic. As the programme says; "When we set about designing the programme for Titanic - The Musical, we wished to remain true to the era in which Titanic sailed and sank - and we also desired to capture the tone of this great story". Ballinrobe Musical Society did this magnificently.
